Every review has two sides. Now both are on the same platform.
2Sides is a review app for Shopify stores. Next to every review, shoppers see what actually happened with the order and the store's side of the story. If either side says something that isn't true, the other can dispute it, and a neutral 2Sides reviewer decides.
What the review says
★★★★★
“Never received my order”
Paid for a tent and nothing showed up.
The carrier confirmed delivery with a photo. We've emailed you the photo, and if the package isn't there, we'll help you file a missing-package claim.
What the order record shows
- Shipped Nov 1 with FedEx
- Out for delivery Nov 3, 8:02 am
- Delivered Nov 3, 2:14 pm
Carrier delivery photo, shared with the customer and 2Sides
2Sides note: Delivery confirmed by carrier.
How it works
-
A customer posts a review
A verified buyer reviews a product or the store they bought from. Every review is tied to a real order.
-
The order's facts appear next to it
2Sides adds what actually happened with that order: when it shipped and when it was delivered, including the carrier's photo. Each fact shows where it came from.
-
Both sides get their say
The store adds its side under the review. If either side thinks a specific statement is false, they can dispute it with evidence, and a 2Sides reviewer makes the call.
2Sides uses basic order details (who bought what, and when it arrived) to send review requests. It only looks at an order's full facts once a review is posted.
For stores
- Answer “never arrived” with evidence. The carrier's delivery record and photo sit right next to the claim.
- Add your side, in public. A short response under any review, next to the order's facts. If you edit it later, it's marked as edited.
- Dispute a specific claim. Bring your evidence. If it holds up, a neutral 2Sides note appears under the review.
- Keep a private case file. Document what happened on an order, like messages or photos of a returned item, for disputes and chargebacks. Only your store can see it.
- Feature your best reviews at the top of the page.
For shoppers
- See why a review was removed. If a store removes a review, it has to give a reason, and the reviewer can see it.
- Only verified buyers. Every review is tied to a real order.
- Challenge the store's side. If a store's response says something untrue, dispute it with evidence. You can also update your review if the store makes things right.
- Fair decisions. Disputes are decided on evidence, with a written reason and one appeal for either side.
How 2Sides keeps reviews fair
- Stores have to give a reason to remove a review, and it's recorded.
- Stores agree not to pay, refund or discount customers to change a review.
- Records describe what happened, not who someone is.
- Decisions come with a written reason, and either side can appeal.
- Review requests go to every customer, not just the ones likely to be happy.
Questions
Is 2Sides available now?
Not yet. 2Sides is in development as an app for Shopify stores. Ask for early access and we'll get in touch when it's ready to try.
Can a store remove a review?
Only for specific reasons, such as a review being fake, abusive or clearly false. The store has to give a reason, and the reviewer can see it.
What does “verified” mean?
Facts like how quickly an order shipped and arrived come from the store's order system or the shipping carrier, not from what the store types in. Each fact is labeled with its source. Anything a store uploads itself is labeled as uploaded by the store.
Does a delivery photo prove the customer got the package?
It shows the carrier delivered to the address. It can't show who picked it up. That's why 2Sides notes say “Delivery confirmed by carrier” instead of accusing anyone, and why customers can give their side.
Can a store write about me where others can see it?
Only in its side of a review you posted, which appears under your review. You can dispute anything in it that isn't true. Anything else, like a private case file about an order, is visible only to that store.
How do I report a problem or get in touch?
Email info@get2sides.com. For a problem with a specific review or dispute, the store or customer involved can also use the tools next to that review.
How are disputes decided?
One side challenges a specific statement, either in the customer's review or in the store's side. The other side has 14 days to respond, with evidence. A 2Sides reviewer decides whether the dispute is supported, not supported or inconclusive, and explains why. Either side can appeal once.
